We are almost half way through the C Decoding text book! We are reading about Bruce and his island -- learning concepts like survival vs. comfort problems and supply and demand! We are currently working on fluency building skills. Remember that the next Oral Reading Fluency Test is coming up during the first week of May! | We are reading the novel, Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. The Vocabulary Quiz for Chapters 7-12 will be on Friday, April 3, 2008 Vocabulary for Chapter 7-12: petticoats, tedious, vile, filthy, suitors, plague, almshouse, vehemently, peril, cajoling, recuperate We just finished making life-size characters! The students had to research what american fashion was like in the 1700s! Watch for pictures to be posted soon! |
